An Enclave Within the Energy of the Club

The Beach Front Dome Space is a self-contained dining alcove engineered for high-density hospitality. A three-wall built-in banquette wraps a central hardwood table — creating an intimate, enveloping experience without sacrificing flow or service access.

Designed to deploy in sequence along Genius Beach Club's main walkway, each Beach Front Dome Space opens directly to the circulation path, turning passage into destination. The result is a rhythm of private moments within a shared, vibrant environment.

Constructed entirely from WPC Wood framing with handwoven seagrass seat pads and upholstered back panels, every unit is built to withstand the demands of a coastal beach club environment without compromising on warmth or craft.

  • WPC Wood — Frame & Table
WPC Wood throughout. Closed-panel base construction. Pedestal table with matching slab top. UV-stable, moisture-resistant WPC composite.
  • Woven Seagrass — Seat Pads
Handwoven seagrass/rattan insert cushion. Breathable, water-resistant, replaceable. Natural texture complements WPC Wood grain.
  • Upholstered Panels — Backrest
Premium taupe fabric on back panels. Adds acoustic softness and comfort for extended dining. Custom colourways available.
  • Optional — Stone Table Top
Honed limestone or travertine slab available as upgrade. Paired with existing WPC Wood pedestal base.

The Structure

A Permanent Indoor Venue Built to Outlast the Elements

The Dome is a 44.4 ft diameter 4V geodesic structure engineered as a permanent, climate-controlled indoor venue. Housing both the restaurant and bar for Genius Beach Club, it delivers a singular architectural experience — the geometric precision of geodesic engineering wrapped in the warmth of the tropical setting.

The 316L stainless steel frame — chosen for its superior resistance to coastal salt air and humidity — forms the triangulated skeleton of the 4V geometry. Each node and strut is precision-fabricated, bolt-together on site, with no welding required during assembly.

The cladding system uses Magnesium Oxysulfate (MOS) cement SIP panels with phenolic foam cores — providing structural rigidity, thermal insulation, and fire resistance in a single composite panel. The result is an interior that stays cool, quiet, and comfortable regardless of the conditions outside.

Materials & Systems
  • 316L Stainless Steel — Structural Frame
    Marine-grade 316L alloy. Corrosion-resistant in coastal salt-air environments. Bolt-together hub-and-strut assembly. No on-site welding required. Powder-coated finish optional.
  • MgO Cement SIP Panels — Cladding
Magnesium Oxysulfate (MOS) board. Free chloride ion content <0.034%. Fire-resistant, moisture-stable, dimensionally accurate. Cut to geodesic triangle geometry.
  • Phenolic Foam — SIP Core Insulation
Closed-cell phenolic foam bonded between MOS faces. Superior thermal performance (λ ≈ 0.021 W/m·K). Class 1 fire rating. Moisture-impermeable. Keeps interior cool in tropical climate.
  • Glazing System — Entry & View Panels
Triangulated low-E glass panels at entry facade and selected bays. Aluminium-framed. Allows panoramic views while maintaining thermal and acoustic performance.

Indoor Venue Program

Restaurant, Bar & Gathering Space

The 1,548 sq ft interior accommodates a full restaurant and bar program. The circular plan naturally defines zones — bar at the perimeter, dining at centre, with a clear sightline to the entry facade. The geodesic overhead geometry creates a cathedral-like volume that elevates every gathering, from intimate dinners to large events.

  • Full restaurant seating — approximately 80–100 covers at standard density
  • Integrated bar — curved counter following the dome perimeter
  • Climate-controlled interior — phenolic foam SIP envelope keeps space cool without heavy HVAC load
  • 22 ft clear apex — no internal columns, unobstructed volume across the full floor plate
  • Glazed entry facade and perimeter bays — ocean and tropical garden views throughout

The Concept

Arrival as Architecture.
Journey as Experience.

The ICO Truss Bridge is both passage and destination. An icosahedron-derived truss tunnel — fabricated in 316L marine-grade stainless steel with warm WPC cladding — creates a dramatic arrival portal over water, drawing guests from shore into the heart of Genius Beach Club.

Flanking the bridge, two private geodesic dome pods sit on overwater platforms — intimate dining or lounge spaces surrounded by water on all sides. The geometry of the bridge portal and the dome pods share the same icosahedral structural logic, reading as a unified architectural family.

At night, integrated ground lighting along the boardwalk and warm uplighting within the truss frame transforms the structure into a lantern — visible from the beach, from the water, and from within the club.

Structure & Materials
  • 316L SS — Icosahedron Truss Frame
Marine-grade 316L alloy. 20-face icosahedral triangulation creates the self-supporting spiral tunnel. All connections bolt together — no site welding.
  • WPC Wood — Portal Frame & Boardwalk
Pentagonal portal frame in WPC Wood panels. WPC Wood boardwalk deck with recessed LED strip lighting. Stainless glass-panel balustrade both sides.
  • Private Dome Pods — Overwater
Two geodesic dome pods on independent overwater platforms. Glazed triangulated panels, panoramic mangrove and water views. Up to 8 guests per pod.
  • Integrated Lighting System
Recessed boardwalk LEDs, warm uplight within truss frame, interior dome pod illumination. Glowing lantern effect visible from beach and water after dark.
Key Features

An Arrival Sequence That Becomes the Memory

The ICO Truss Bridge is not merely infrastructure — it is the first act of the guest experience. Walking through the nested geometric tunnel, flanked by glowing dome pods on water, guests arrive at Genius Beach Club having already passed through something extraordinary.

  • Icosahedral truss geometry — 20-face triangulation, self-supporting spiral tunnel with no central column
  • Full flat-pack assembly — ships in containers, bolts together on-site without welding or heavy equipment
  • Helical pile overwater foundations — supports bridge and both dome pod platforms in coastal water conditions
  • Two private pods — each seats up to 8 guests, independently activated for exclusive dining experiences
  • Same structural DNA as the Dome — ICO truss and geodesic geometry create a unified design language across the full venue
